The Crosseyed Cricket Campground
(Click link to view their site.)
The Crosseyed Cricket holds the annual
Clinch River Primitive Skills Knap-In and Atlatl Throw
and it is one of our favorite places to go
.

It's beautiful, serene and the folks there are like
family.  Check out their website for more info.
Meanwhile, here are some pics we took!
The old building you see above is or
was a restaurant / operational grist mill
which is now closed.  We could look in
the windows and see the tables - and
the nostalgia was quite overwhelming!
My son and I wish we could have eaten
here to add to our memories.  They say
this was quite a popular place up until
the owners retired.  The campground
is still open year round and there are
numerous camper trailers in the back
of the property whose owners leave
their camper trailers year-round and
come here as a get-away.
These pictures
were taken in
October 2005.  We
didn't even have
our own booth
space and shared
a spot with Randy
Beach.  We have
since grown to
our own 10'x20'
space as you
could see in other
photos on other
pages.
To the right is a
view of the
Knap-In from
across the
pond.  Sam and I
took time out to
take a canoe out
and enjoy the
scenery!
